John Donne sonnets, style of writing?

Ok i have to write an essay for school but i have some questions about its structure. I am writing about John Donne's Holy Sonnet number 10. I know that it is made up of three quatrains and a couplet, but is it considered to be a Petrarchan style poem. I know that sonnets are fourteen lines and Petrarchan style sonnets use eight of those lines to pose a problem and the last six to solve it. I also know that the Petrarchan style is Italian while John Donne is English. But that is my question, can his sonnets be considered Petrarchan Style.
