Tips on how to clean a really dirty home?

I just recently moved back in with my father, within a week I had bronchitis because if all of the dust. I have been trying to clean his home, but it seems that I am getting no where. The house is only 28 years old, but the cleaning has never really been kept up on. This house needs a really good deep cleaning from roof to basement floor. One of the problems is there are six dogs here, 3 long hair and three short hair. It is a daily job just to keep up with cleaning all the dog hair. Does any one have any good tips on how I can keep this job going, and be productive while working a full time job?? I feel like Im getting no where!!
