In My yahoo mail, when I start a new mail, Alot of the features are grey...What is wrong?

I cant see the stationary, I cant see the emoticons or the Itallic-Bold-Underline tabs all this stuff are just grey boxs... What can I do to fix this? I have dial-up, is that why? I saw them before...I did get the New yahoo...Help?
