Is there anything I can do for my friend?

Sadly it is the same answer as if he was a female being abused by her boyfriend. Until she can see she is being abused and reach out for help to get the courage to leave there is nothing that can be done. It's the same for your friend. The only thing you can do is make sure you are there for him when he is ready to break things off. I would stop sending emails and texts for awhile since he isn't getting them and they might be causing her stupid *** to treat him worse. Does he have parents or siblings you can talk to? Maybe they can get a message to him. If you have his name, birthday and last known address to you, you may be able to find out where he lives now. If you have his social you may be able to find out where he works.
