What are The original Three straight edge tenets?

upon being straight edge and doing my research,being in the community and sharing my opinions with both straight edgers and non-straight edgers,My opinion is that the symbol of the three X's stand for Don't smoke,Don't drink and Don't do drugs. Many other believe straight edge is intertwined with no promiscuous and believe in order to be true to the straight edge name you cant have promiscuous . I want to know your knowledge on this subject and share your opinions.[Note: This will not change my believe on straight edge in many ways is straight edge my own]
